Even at the threshold of first decade of 21st century, Violence against women in Pakistan remains a tragic reality for all of us. Circumscribed by traditions, millions of women in Pakistan live in a constant fear of being raped, beaten, shoot, burnt or killed in the name of honor. Unluckily, most of the time the perpetrators are men. It is, thus, very vital that they step up and contribute in helping women to come out of this fear and give them a confidence of being safe.
Making Pakistan a violence free society is a responsibility we all share. Lets, we not only pledge ourselves never to commit, condone or remain silent on violence against women but also spread a word on this.
